Radix DM comes with a number of components that are linked to Microsoft Office applications, including Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel. These addins are installed as part of Radix DM and are configured to run on a "per-site" basis, which means that a single setting affects all computers with Radix DM the same way. However sometimes there is a need for these settings to be altered on a "per-user" level. This document highlights a number of settings and how explains how these settings can be changed for individual users. If roaming profiles are not enabled for an organisation, these changes will need to be applied to each machine that the user uses.
There are two ways of changing settings for a specific user:
1. A registry key can be set with a specific value via logon script;
2. A special code can be entered in the Radix DM Quick Launch program which will set this value. To start using the Radix DM Quick Launch, simply right click on the Radix DM Grabber and select the Show Quick Launch option. The Quick Launch program will then appear fixed in the lower right of the screen. This code always begins with # and is entered into the Open text box before that button is clicked.
Once any changes have been made through one of these two methods, the affected program must be restarted before they will take effect.
