Grabber Image

Client functionality is accessible through the Radix DM Grabber, which appears on the screen as a floating icon.  This icon can be customised for individual users or all users within an organisation.

To access grabber images in Radix DM Administration, click on the Global Settings Navigation Tab and the Grabber Image Menu Item.

Every grabber image has the following:

Image Title: The name of the image as used within Radix DM Administration.

Make Global Default Image: If this is checked then this image is used by all users in the organisation.

Click Change… to browse to a file to use for this grabber image.

Locations

It is possible to maintain folder information for users and library groups that span more than one physical location.  For example, some sites may dictate that files that belong to a particular library group are stored on a dedicated server so document delivery is improved over a network.

To access locations in Radix DM Administration, click on the Global Settings Navigation Tab and the Location Menu Item.

Every location has the following:

Location Name: The name of the location as used within Radix DM Administration.

Text Index Base Path: The default path of the text search engine index files for any library group that has this location.  For efficiency it is best if the text index for each library group has its own distinct path.

Configuration File Name: This functionality has not been enabled for the current version of Radix DM.

Client Update Install File Path: The path where files to update the client are saved as part of the update process.

Default Document Queue Path: This functionality has not been enabled for the current version of Radix DM.

Default Save File Path: The default path of the saved documents for any library group that has this location.  Please note that this value is only a base and that library groups must have different base paths.

Quarantine File Path: The path used to hold documents that are recognised by Radix DM as not being in their correct location.  The Radix DM Crawler scans library group folders for documents that are not in the correct location and moves them to this folder for administrators to process.

Important note: these paths should be in the UNC format rather than local network mapped drives.

Microsoft Outlook Settings

Radix DM can be configured to automate a number of processes to save documents which can trigger on various conditions within Microsoft Outlook.  Many configurations are mutually exclusive.

To access Microsoft Outlook Settings in Radix DM Administration, click on the Global Settings Navigation Tab and the Microsoft Outlook Settings Menu Item.

The following options are available for configuration:

Display Action Dialog

This option will cause a special dialog to appear when one or both of the following conditions are met:

Display After Email Send: This option will bring up the Action Dialog every time an email is sent from Microsoft Outlook.  This will not trigger if the email is in the Personal folder.

Display After Email Close: This option will bring up the Action Dialog every time an email message is closed.  This will not trigger if the email is in the Personal folder.

Display Delete Button: If this is checked, users will have the option to delete the email instead of saving it into Radix DM.

Display Move to Personal Button: If this is checked, users will have the option to move the email to a Personal subfolder under Inbox instead of saving it into Radix DM.  If this folder does not already exist it will be created as part of this process.

Delete message if already saved in Radix DM: If the email message has been previously saved in Radix DM, then the document is not saved and is instead removed from the Sent Items folder.

Display Save Dialog

This option will cause the Radix DM Document Save window to appear automatically when an email is sent.  After the profile information is completed, Radix DM then processes the document according to one of the following options:

Save Email: The default option on the Save Dialog is for the email to be saved to Radix DM.  This would leave the email in the Sent Items folder.

Move Email: The default option on the Save Dialog is for the email to be moved to Radix DM.  This would also remove the email from the Sent Items folder.

Delete message if already saved in Radix DM: If the email message has been previously saved in Radix DM, then the document is not saved and is instead removed from the Sent Items folder.

Copy to All Users: If this check box is selected, then the search result preferences will be copied to every user in Radix DM.

Copy to Single User: If this check box is selected, then the search result preferences will be copied to only the user specified in Target User
